Hi, my name is Anastasia. I do astrological birth chart readings. I combine Vedic traditional knowledge (Indian astrology) with psychology and other modern scientific approaches to studying human nature.
I want to tell you the story of my spiritual awakening which will show you how the transformation of my consciousness formed my unique horoscope interpretation.
My whole life I can remember myself wondering about human nature. That's why I loved human sciences. I can see now that all this interest was there not only because of my natural human curiosity but also because I wanted to find an answer to the question: ‘How to be happy?’ There was nobody around me who was truly happy. They were not even aware of being unhappy. I didn't understand exactly what was wrong but I felt that I should find the answer on my own.
Consequently, I started to read philosophy and psychology books, so my views began to be shaped and transformed together with the intellectual thought of the West. Deep and eternal questions began to appear with the philosophy of the ancient Greeks and Romans, such as 'What does it mean to be human?', 'Does God exist?', 'Do humans have free will?' and many others. On top of that, great European philosophers discovered the paradox and absurdity of our existence. Surely, that "news" has led me, like them, into an existential crisis. I “enjoyed” meaningless life without purpose, but not for a long time.
Something very important was missing. I realized that our western civilization's philosophical thought has reached a deadlock and it has stopped without answering my main question: ‘How to be happy?’ From the very beginning, the new religion of consumption did not inspire me. How could I truly get on board with something that was promoting the happiness of owning material things, in order to compensate for the meaninglessness of human life? I might add that other religions didn't give me a full picture and clear answers either.
I was curious enough to continue my search, and lucky enough to be traveling and meeting different people, who were mostly as free and as curious as me. This really helped me to expand my worldview even more, and seeing those incredible, unique, and brave truthseekers ultimately made me an anthropological optimist. One day in 2014, I came to India where my western philosophical mind finally met it’s eastern counterpart.
My spiritual journey had begun. It was a year of powerful transformations and insights, but this process of awakening has not stopped since then. Over the years I have discovered a completely different approach to exploring reality from the intellectual to the experiential.
India is a wonderful land that has attracted seekers of the Truth and of God for hundreds or even thousands of years. I would say it is not without reasons. It was the first place where I met absolutely happy and peaceful people - spiritual masters. I wanted to know how I could be as fully satisfied and unconditionally happy as them. They simply said - “Enquire into who you are”.
So I started an exploration. It brought with it many new questions, and I discovered how deep and multidimensional our mind is. I had many spiritual and transcendental experiences during this time, attended satsangs, practiced meditation, yoga, and asceticism. I used many instruments to explore my subconsciousness, such as psychotherapy, holotropic breathing, body-oriented psychology, past life regressions, and many others.
In my opinion, one of the most powerful tools I used was and still is Vedic Astrology. I'm so grateful that I was introduced to this cosmic knowledge at the beginning of my spiritual journey; it gave me incredible clarity and guidance in those moments of curious wonder.
I was blessed to meet my astrology teacher Prateek Mishrapuri in my first year in India. He is a great Vedic Astrologer of 31 generations from the holy city of Haridwar. Also I studied by myself everything that I found about the subject. My knowledge is based on books by David Frawley, Robert Svoboda, K Rao, B. Raman, Pt Sanjay Rath, Ekkirala Krishnamacharya, Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, and many others. I'm still studying this endless and magnificent knowledge and developing it with my personal experience, observations and research.
I now see the incredible power of the fusion of the curious and critical western mind, with the eastern mind steeped in its wisdom of millenia. I was lucky enough to experience this potent combination and use it to better understand myself and the events in my life. Vedic astrology can become a wonderful instrument for you to understand your life path and purpose, and to begin practicing mindfulness and living a conscious life, and I would be honoured to share this amazing and useful knowledge with you.
